The 2nd Annual UConn Global Health Symposium
Winning the Birth Lottery
Globalization and Health
This year’s symposium seeks to explore the idea of the “birth lottery” – how does the location of an individual’s birth impact their access to care? What are the political, socioeconomic, social, and environmental factors which impact global health? How does migration serve as a social determinant of health? We seek to explore these questions and more with the greater CT undergraduate audience through these two keynotes, exciting breakout sessions, a birth lottery simulation, a thought-provoking panel, and much more!
